Descubre is an interinstitutional program created to energize the agriculture sector by promoting investment in the country’s rural and coastal areas, aiming to position agriculture as a competitive and sustainable pillar on the global stage.
This collaborative strategy, born from a public-private partnership supported by academia, is essential to the program’s growth and development.
This joint working model improves institutional coordination and opens doors to international markets, thereby strengthening the export offering, diversifying markets, and fostering innovative solutions at every stage of the production process.

Prospecting Platform
This platform identifies and analyzes emerging business opportunities through collaboration among institutions specializing in market research (PROCOMER), product development (Research Centers), and the business sector.
Project Platform
Once a discovery is identified, a roadmap is designed to drive development, making use of different project management tools for execution, follow-up, monitoring, and evaluation.
Investment and Financing Platform
PROCOMER leverages its experience in FDI and the creation of productive linkages to increase investment flows into rural areas. Non-refundable programs are also available.
Innovation Platform
This platform aims to coordinate the country’s agricultural innovation ecosystem to drive research and development in key activities for the Discover Program.
